Rochester Public Utilities (RPU), a division of the City of Rochester, MN, is the largest municipal utility in the state of Minnesota. RPU serves over 47,000 electric customers and over 35,000 water customers, and has revenues nearing $100 million annually.[1]

Pulverized bituminous coal is the primary fuel, and it is supported by natural gas. Approximately 50 employees staff SLP.[2]
