Sirwan Kajjo

Sirwan Kajjo was born in 1986 in Syria. He is a freelance journalist and a human rights activist. He now lives in Washington, D.C. after being granted asylum in 2008.
He has worked as a reporter for Kurdistan TV in their Beirut Office. He worked with the Tharwa Foundation, which is a Washington-based non-profit organization dedicated to democracy and human rights in Syria. Sirwan is now a freelance journalist based in Washington, DC.
Sirwan has published many news articles and research on Syrian Kurdish politics.
