Scope

Many commentators have suggested that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is a forum for consenting scientists only. The implication being that skepticism is kept out of the IPCC process. Such a claim needs to be examined in context.

This SW resource is intended to collate a list of IPCC contributors (past and present) who present a skeptic view of climate science or of the impacts of climate change and why those impacts should be mitigated. The above will be limited to a brief assessment of their work outside the IPCC and a summary of their contribution to the IPCC. Additionally there is a short list of industrial and commercial interested parties.

This list is incomplete, the non inclusion of an individual should not be taken to imply anything.

According to the Wikipedia article on the IPCC, contributors to the 2007 report (AR4) included “more than 2500 scientific expert reviewers, more than 800 contributing authors, and more than 450 lead authors.”"
