Sonia Nieto "is Professor Emerita of Language, Literacy, and Culture, School of Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst." [1] She also undertook a PhD that was sponsored by the Ford Foundation (1975-9) and in 2000 obtained a Rockefeller Foundation grant for a residency at the Bellagio Study and Conference Center. [2]
