Steven Rothmeier (Chair, Northwest Airlines, c. 1988): Was chairman of Northwest Airlines when they went smoke-free. Received angry letter from F. Ross Johnson, President and CEO of RJR Nabisco who said R.J. Reynolds's 120,000 employees would no longer use Northwest Airlines because of the smoke-free policy.
