What's the yardstick for the 'right wing' assessment? In the interview linked at bottom, Furedi is asked what role if any Marx still plays in his thinking. A: "Marx continues to exercise an important influence on my thinking. I regard him as the most systematic exponent of Enlightenment thinking. In particular his emphasis on a human-centred view of history and the transformative potential of subjectivity represent a significant contribution to the development of humanist thought." So that's Marxism, but specifically not conceived as a deterministic system, and humanism (ie, not theism). Either this assessment is wrong, or the article defining right-wing is incorrect.
