Question: Why do we now have a "new" format for adding External Links? and why were existing External Links reformatted. Did I miss the memo? Artificial Intelligence 06:49, 2 May 2006 (EDT)

Question: When did SourceWatch:References cease being the SW format for citing references? Artificial Intelligence 12:04, 3 May 2006 (EDT) Artificial Intelligence 05:41, 4 May 2006 (EDT)

Sorry for the delay. No - what happened was that when the basic pages were being compiled the references were imported in Wikipedia format. There wasn't enough time pre-launch to get it all done. The intent is that new references are added in the normal SW style and over time the other ones are reformatted to the SW style. --Bob Burton 06:51, 4 May 2006 (EDT)

Thanks, Bob. After checking SW and CP references, didn't see any format change info. However, why in the world someone would take the time to change existing SW article links to a non-SW format is beyond comprehension. All those years of adding external links, only to find that they are now non-conforming and have to be reformatted boggles the mind. I will continue to add properly formatted links to the talk pages and leave the daunting task of reformatting the existing links to somebody with more patience and indulgence than I.
