Note: The IAASTD comments at the end of the "tested for Safety" section, "No regional long-term environmental and health monitoring programs exist to date in the countries with the most concentrated GM crop production ... Hence, long-term data on environmental implications of GM crop production are at best deductive or simply missing and speculative" have mysteriously disappeared from the Greenfacts website. However they are mentioned here on page 59. They are also acknowledged in part here in this Nature Biotechnology opinion piece "Off the Rails" which disagrees with the IAASTD conclusions: "On environmental implications, for instance: “Long-term data [...] are at best deductive or simply missing and speculative". The editorial is rebutted by Jack A Heinemann Off the rails or on the mark?. Unfortunately it costs it access. The IAASTD report is also defended here.
