Talk:Otpor

Otpor became a political party in 2003 and merged with the Democratic party in 2004. Officialy it doesn't exist. Problem with this article is that it creates an illusion that Otpor was a western idea. It did receive aid from the west, but was originaly Serbian organization. And Otpor did not play any role in Ukraine and Georgia as an organization. Some Otpor activists had contacts with groups in Georgia and Ukraine but the organization did not becasue it did not exist anymore.

Otpor played a role before the elections in 2000 (making pressure on the opposition to unite and campaigning against Milosevic) but did not play any role after the elections and in the takeover of the parliament. That was the strategy designed and carried out by the DOS (Democratic Oppostion of Serbia). Otpor advocated for this strategy before the elections, but ws marginalized after the elections took place.
