LINCOLN GROUP HIRES VSA

The Lincoln Group, the self-described "strategic communications and PR firm providing insight and influence in challenging & hostile environments," has hired Van Scoyoc Assocs. as its lobbying firm.

TLG, which has been doing PR for U.S.-led forces in Iraq, won a five-year $100M global media support contract in June from the U.S. Special Operations Command.

VSA's lobbying team includes veteran Marlin 'Buzz' Hefti who served as legislative affairs director in the Defense Dept, VP-government relations at Honeywell and Boeing's top lobbyist.

He is joined by Andre Hollis, who handled counternarcotics operations at the Defense Dept., and heads VSA's homeland security operation, Jason Rossbach, a former aide to Sen. Strom Thurmond, and David Drass, who worked for Virginia's Senator George Allen.

Paige Craig, TLG executive VP, developed the firm's Iraqi business. He is a Marine Corps veteran who has worked in Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Australia, Japan, and Thailand.
