Biographical Information

"Tim has broadcast widely on migration issues, including on BBC Radio 4’s Today and Analysis programmes, BBC Radio 5 Live, Newsnight, CNN and Al Jazeera. He has written articles for The Times, Independent, Guardian and Observer, as well as numerous other outlets. He has spoken at conferences across the UK and around the world, including at Chatham House, the World Bank and the Metropolis conference in Copenhagen.

"Before joining IPPR in 2008, Tim was Director of Communications at the Refugee Council and Chair of Refugee Week for nearly five years. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years for the BBC, latterly as a senior political journalist based at Westminster. He was previously Head of Migration at IPPR.

"Tim is a trustee of Asylum Aid, the Zimbabwe Association and the Ramphal Centre, and sits on the Housing and Migration Network. He has a BSc(Hons) in Government from the London School of Economics and an MA in British Politics from the University of Essex."[1]
