Titanium is a lustrous, white metal.[1] In the Periodic Table, its symbol is Ti and its atomic number is 22. Titanium metal has low density and good strength. It is also easily fabricated and it resists corrosion well. Titanium burns in the air and it is actually the only element that burns in nitrogen. Titanium is present in meteorites, the sun, and lunar rocks.[2]

In Sewage Sludge
In the Targeted National Sewage Sludge Survey, a 2009 test of 84 samples of sewage sludge from around the U.S., the EPA found titanium in 83 samples (99%) in concentrations ranging from 18.50 to 7,020 parts per million.[3]
