Tiziana Stella, "Executive Director of the Streit Council. Tiziana joined the Board in 2000, after having worked in several forms with the organization since 1991, and was active in the European Federalist Movement as a student in Italy. A specialist in transatlantic relations, European integration, US foreign policy, and federalism, Dr. Stella earned her Ph.D. in international relations from the University of Pavia, Italy. She was a Fulbright Scholar and a researcher with several Italian think tanks including the Fondazione Luigi Einaudi and the Fondazione Firpo. She worked for the Council for a Community of Democracies in preparation of the Warsaw 2000 conference that, under the leadership of Madeleine Albright, established the Community of Democracies. She has been a speaker at numerous international conferences on transatlantic relations, the EU, and cooperation among the democracies. She has taught for the University of Tubingen, Germany, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the Moscow State University, the U.S. Foreign Service Institute, the George Washington University, and the National Guard-based Institute of National Defense Studies in Washington, D.C. She was the organizer of an international conference in Moscow in 2002 on Russia and Euro-Atlantic integration, bringing together among others Hon. Strobe Talbott, Amb. Vladimir Lukin, Amb. Robert Hunter and former Russian Security Council Secretary Ivan Rybkin. Dr. Stella is the author of several publications on the history and prospects of transatlantic relations." [1]
