Re Refs

Hi Sheldon, I have just been cleaning up the Employment Roundtable from the front groups list. This was material you originally posted at the time of the SW startup. I have updated it and added the easily available refs - there are a couple of others I wondered if you could do. I have added the 'fact' tags in the two spots on the page.--Bob Burton 16:17, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

Common.css problems

Neither MediaWiki:Common.css nor MediaWiki:Monobook.css have "Infobox" style.

See WP common.css.

Your infoboxes for public officials needed improvement so I moved over the templates from WP for officeholders. Test wikitext User:JMesserly/test1 copies use of this template verbatim from the wp article wikipedia:Barack Obama. Note no border box, no float right. This code is in the .infobox for wp common.css, but not in yours. Actually, your common.css won't support much of anything. You might want to take a look at my User:JMesserly/common.css. It is wp's with some extraneous stuff stripped out.

In LocalSettings.php, you have $wgAllowUserCss set to false, correct? If so, I'm not advocating you enable it permanently, but it would be nice if you turned it on for a while so the CSS can be tested in user accounts before promoting it to mediawiki:Common.css. Probably turn on allow user js too. I can think of some real good reasons not to permanently enable that, but testing the .js would be good until this is straightenned out. You probably want collapsible boxes, and that depends on a short js fragment as I recall. JMesserly 04:05, 23 March 2008 (EDT)

It has been a week now with no response. If you are having trouble understanding what is going on, please let me know, I'd be happy to help. JMesserly 15:42, 30 March 2008 (EDT)

Frag Dolls

Hi Sheldon, I just tidied up the Frag Dolls page which you created a while back. But there was a reference to "booth babes" that was a little unclear as to who described the Frag Dolls as that - themselves? Ubisoft? or other gamers? The "quotes" suggests it is a tag attribuatble to someone so I have added the 'citation needed' tag. Or perhaps it was meant to be 'booth babes' as a generic tag rather than a quote. Anyway, I'll leave that to you. --Bob Burton 19:22, 6 July 2008 (EDT) Bold text

Note re GFDL

Hi Sheldon, have a look at this note from Bonzai.--Bob Burton 18:41, 11 November 2008 (EST)

Edit note

Sheldon, I just deleted the RSS feed on the GC portal page (see here) -- it was displaying gibberish -- perhaps this needs to be tweaked somehow so or the original feed cleaned up at source. Removing it leaves a big gap in the page so some feed or alternative content needs to go there but it wasn't all that useful as it was. --Bob Burton 14:59, 16 January 2009 (EST)

Pic source?

I have had a query from an academic wanting to find the copyright holder of 0411square.jpg. This was a pic you uploaded so I'm wondering if you can remember where it came from. cheers --Bob Burton 16:35, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
