Biographical Information

"Virginia is the Director of Global Partnerships for The Nike Foundation, creating innovation and inspiration to enable each of the 250million adolescent girls living in poverty to unleash the girl effect. Virginia was previously the Founder and Director of VRP Strategies, a consulting company that provides overall strategic advice to corporations and international non-profit organisations on start-up initiatives, communication and development programmes.

"Virginia worked in the White House in the Office of Legislative Affairs as a member of President Clinton’s team responsible for driving his legislative agenda with Congress from 1996 to 1999. She served as Special Advisor for Nominations, as Staff Director for Legislative Affairs and as assistant to the Director of Legislative Affairs in the West Wing. She served under political appointment at the American Embassy in London as Special Advisor to Ambassador Philip Lader from 1999 to 2001. Virginia then joined Bloomberg LP and worked on corporate relations in Europe. A native of Lansing, Kansas, Virginia holds a BA in History from the University of Chicago and is involved in a variety of philanthropic activities focused on international development."[1]
