W. Don Cornwell

W. Don Cornwell "joined the board of directors of The Wallace Foundation in 2001.

"Since 1988, Cornwell has been chairman and chief executive officer of Granite Broadcasting Corp., a New York City-based group broadcasting company that owns and operates television stations in nine geographically diverse markets.

"Cornwell’s career spans more than 30 years. He previously served as vice president, investment banking division, of Goldman Sachs. While at Goldman Sachs, he was engaged in public and private financing of publicly traded and privately owned companies, with a primary focus on consumer product and media companies. In addition to transaction responsibility, Cornwell served from 1980 to 1988 as the chief operating officer of the corporate finance department, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of a staff of more than 150 professionals.

"Currently, Cornwell serves on the board of Pfizer Inc. and Avon Products Inc. He is also a trustee of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York City." [1]
