Bill D. Temko was born in Washington, D.C., in 1954. "Mr. Temko served as law clerk to the Honorable Frank A. Kaufman of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland during the 1979-1980 term.

"For the past twenty-two years, Mr. Temko has been engaged in a complex commercial litigation practice, first as an associate, and later as a partner, in the Los Angeles firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson. As part of that commercial litigation practice, Mr. Temko has counseled clients, litigated, and negotiated complex multi-party agreements and settlements in the areas of securities litigation, business torts, contract litigation, and antitrust.

"Mr. Temko represented Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, and its oil pipeline company owners, in the civil litigation arising from the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Since 1981 Mr. Temko has also acted as the primary outside litigation counsel for Cook Inlet Region, Inc., a Congressionally-established Native American-owned corporation based in Anchorage, Alaska. In that capacity, Mr. Temko acted as lead litigation counsel for that Native Corporation in a series of lawsuits filed in Federal Court in Alaska and Washington, D.C. involving the United States, the State of Alaska, and major oil companies regarding oil and gas royalty rights in Alaska. Mr. Temko successfully negotiated comprehensive settlements of those oil and gas royalty cases with the United States, the State of Alaska, and the oil companies. In addition, he played a lead role in negotiating a global revenue-sharing agreement among the twelve Native-owned Alaska Regional Corporations under the aegis of a Court-appointed Special Master.

"Over the years, Mr. Temko has also represented Salomon Brothers, Shell Oil Company, Atlantic Richfield Company, Sohio Petroleum Company, Warner Bros. Inc., the National Football League, the Seattle Seahawks, SFX Entertainment, California Pizza Kitchen, domestic and international air carriers, and numerous other business concerns in the prosecution and defense of complex commercial cases in both state and Federal court (including contract, fraud, securities, antitrust, and business tort actions).

"In addition, Mr. Temko regularly provides pro bono representation to various community organizations in the Los Angeles area, and is a member of the Board of Directors of United Friends of the Children and the California Committee of Human Rights Watch." [1]
