Freedom fighter

Freedom fighters are those fighting for their own freedom, in their own country; also known as insurgents, rebels, or the "underground resistance". Examples may include the Maquis of WWII-era France, the Montagnards and Hmong Hillmen from Vietnam and Laos during the Vietnam War.
