Biography

Sherman was born October 24, 1954 in Los Angeles, California. He was educated at the University of California, Los Angeles and at Harvard Law School, and was a lawyer and accountant before entering the House.

2006 elections

In 2006, the Republicans nominated Peter Christopher Hankwitz to face Sherman in his November 2006 bid for reelection. (See U.S. congressional elections in 2006) [1] Sherman retained his seat.
