Center for Freedom and Prosperity

The Center for Freedom and Prosperity describes itself as a "non-profit organization created to lobby lawmakers in favor of market liberalization. The top project of CF&P is the Coalition for Tax Competition, which is fighting to preserve jurisdictional tax competition, sovereignty, and financial privacy."[1]

CF&P is a member of Internet Freedom Coalition.[2]

Board members

On its website, CF&P lists its board members, as of September 2009, as being<[3]:

  • John Blundell
  • Veronique de Rugy, Ph.D. -- co-founder of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity and the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation. Dr. de Rugy is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center. She was previously a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a policy analyst at the Cato Institute, and a research fellow at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation.
  • Dan Mitchell, Ph.D. -- co-founder of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity and the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation. Dr. Mitchell serves as one of the Cato Institute's top experts on tax policy and the economy. Prior to joining Cato, Mitchell was a senior fellow with The Heritage Foundation, and an economist for Senator Bob Packwood and the Senate Finance Committee. He also served on the 1988 Bush/Quayle transition team and was Director of Tax and Budget Policy for Citizens for a Sound Economy.
  • Andrew F. Quinlan is the President and co-founder of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity and the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation. Quinlan served as a Senior Economic Analyst for the Republican National Committee before working for more than seven years as a top staff member for New Jersey Congressman Jim Saxton.
