Dale Cardwell was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the Senate in Georgia. He was seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.). However, he did not receive enough votes in the July primary elections to qualify him to participate in the Democratic runoff which will take place on August 5, 2008.[1]
