Francis T. Maher, Jr. is a Republican member of the State Senate in Rhode Island, representing the 34th District. In 2011, he introduced the Illegal Immigration Control Order[1] and serves on the following committees: Housing and Municipal Government, Health and Human Services and Government Oversight.[2]

Maher is the Rhode Island's State Chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), as of 2011.[3]
