GDF SUEZ is the U.S. retail energy business unit of GDF SUEZ Energy International, a GDF SUEZ business unit and active in energy outside Europe. U.S. operations include Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.[1]

GDF Suez Energy International became Engie in April 2015.

GDF SUEZ Energy North America owns or has partnered to build, own, or operate over 77 power generation facilities, many in North America.[2]

Coal Source

The North American Coal Corporation’s Red Hills Mine in Ackerman, Mississippi, began production in 2000 and delivers approximately 3.5 million tons of coal per year to SUEZ Energy Resources.[3]
