Honduras is a Central American country between the countries of Nicaragua to the south and Guatemala to the northwest. It touches both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The population is 7,212,000 and the capital city is Tegucigalpa. [1]
"In the first of the wave of a dozen presidential elections to be held in Latin America during the next 12 months, voters in Honduras gave the Liberal Party of Honduras (P.L.H.) candidate Manuel Zelaya a narrow edge over his National Party of Honduras (P.N.H.) rival Porfirio Lobo Sosa in November 27 polls." -- PINR
