On April 1, 2012, it was reported that Timothy Berge of Pangean Resources LLC of Denver, Colorado is hoping to persuade companies to drill some new test wells in Iowa in the next few years. The wells would involve fracking. Berge has sent out lease offers for hundreds of thousands of acres to various Iowa counties. Iowa has no fracking regulations.[1]
