John Mayer

John Mayer was the San Francisco area representative of the Organic Consumers Association beginning in January, 2010, previous to becoming Coordinator of the Food Rights Network in 2010, a position he held until August 10, 2010.

In 2010 Mayer began an extensive ongoing investigation of collusion and corruption in the office of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission regarding their toxic sewage sludge giveaway. His work is the basis for The Food Rights Network major investigative report release on July 9, 2010 titled: Chez Sludge: How the Sewage Sludge Industry Bedded Alice Waters. [1] It examines collusion between the Chez Panisse Foundation and the SFPUC based on an extensive open records investigation of the SFPUC internal files.
