Militant Islam refers to jihadi endeavors to establish Islamic laws.

The use of madrassa schools to train militants, and radical cleric involvement, are two, which arise in discussions of the Global War on Terror in its recently expanded scope.

Militant groups usually seek an Islamic state constructed by force embracing the entire Islamic World. But this is not the only way to create that state or co-operative agency, and the militants vary in their tolerance for different methods to achieve it.
