Willis Group Holdings is a publicly owned company that was founded in 1828 as Henry Willis&Co. and claims to be "the world's oldest insurance broker."[1] After several mergers and acquisitions between many insurance firms, the Willis Group became its current incarnation in 1999 and was listed in the New York Stock Exchange in 2001.[1] The company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.[2]

In 2011, the company reported $2,447,000,000 in total revenues.[3]

Ties to Pete Peterson's "Fix the Debt"

The Campaign to Fix the Debt is the latest incarnation of a decades-long effort by former Nixon man turned Wall Street billionaire Pete Peterson to slash earned benefit programs such as Social Security and Medicare under the guise of fixing the nation's "debt problem."
