Zafar Bangash

Zafar Bangash "is Director of the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought. He was formerly the Editor of Crescent International which he edited for 20 years before formally relinquishing this position in 1998. He still writes regularly for Crescent International.

"He is the author of several books including The Makkah Massacre and the Future of the Haramain (1988); In Pursuit of the Power of Islam: Major Writings of Kalim Siddiqui (1996); The Seerah: A Power Perspective (2000), Jointly authored with Imam Mohammed al-Asi; and, The concepts of Leader and Leadership in Islam (2001). His articles have also appeared in the Seven-volume annual anthology, Issues in the Islamic Movement.

"He continues to write and speak on the major issues affecting the World of Islam. He has appeared on numerous television and Radio Programmes in Canada, Britain, Pakistan, South Africa and elsewhere." [1]
