Al–Quds Educational Television "is a nonprofit media organization dedicated to strengthening the educational, culture, social and environmental well being of all Palestinians".

"The Institute of Modern Media, at Al Quds University, was established in 1996 by Palestinian journalist Daoud Kuttab with encouragement from the president of Al Quds University Professor Sari Nusseibeh. Shortly thereafter the Institute succeeded in obtaining a license from the Palestinian National Authority for an independent educational TV station. Al Quds Educational Television began broadcasting in the Ramallah area in February 1997 with a clear goal of being an independent public broadcaster serving the entire Palestinian population. Since its inception; the institute has taken important steps in developing the audio – visual media in Palestine, through quality training and production." [1]
