Alan Tudge "joined the Cape York Institute as the Deputy Director in September 2006 bringing experience from Government and the corporate sector. Prior to joining the Institute Alan spent several years working as a policy and political adviser in the Federal Government, first as the Senior Adviser to then Education Minister, Brendan Nelson, and then in the same position with the Foreign Minister.

"His role with Brendan Nelson included advising on school and Indigenous education policy. Before this Alan was a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) working out of their Melbourne and then New York office. His experience with Cape York stems from five years ago when he was the first corporate secondee to work in the Cape.

"Alan has Law (Hons) and Arts degrees from Melbourne University and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School." [1]
