Alison Van Dyk

Alison Van Dyk is Chairman of the Board and Interim Executive Director at The Temple of Understanding at the United Nations. She is "a Clinical Psychologist specializing in children and families and has been on the Board of the Temple of Understanding for many years. She is now Chair of the Board and the Interim Executive Director. She is also currently a consultant for the Early Childhood Project, St. Luke's School, South Bronx, NY, which she set up in 1990. She provides therapy for kindergarten children at risk. She has dual Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Transpersonal Psychology and worked for the Southern Alameda County (CA) Head Start Program as a therapist using the Lowenfeld Sandplay Technique, which has become her specialty (see her web site at www.sandplay.net). Alison's work for the Temple of Understanding, North America's oldest interfaith organization, has been ongoing since 1967."[1]
