"Allen Ginsberg (deceased) was a potent figure in the cultural revolution of the sixties, and was one of the founding figures of the Beat Generation. He has received numerous honors, including the National Book Award for Poetry, a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, National Arts Club Medal, and others. He is a distinguished professor at Brooklyn College and a member of the Executive Board of PEN American Center." [1]
