Amy Hagerstrom was Ron Paul's Michigan state campaign coordinator. She is a marketing and communications professional. She owned her own consulting firm that specialized in issue management, campaign strategy and political fundraising. In 2007 she became is the Michigan Director of Americans for Prosperity.

She was a Senior Account Executive for The Sterling Corporation, Director of Public Affairs for the Michigan Concrete Paving Association, Communications Director for the Associated Underground Contractors, and Legislative Aide for the Michigan House of Representatives. She was also an associate instructor at Michigan State University teaching classes in Public Relations and was an adjunct faculty member at Davenport University in the School of Business teaching courses in marketing, advertising, and public relations for three years.[1]

She is the director of operations for the American Liberty Alliance, a pro-free market online group. [2]
