Arthur Waldron
Arthur Waldron "is the Lauder Professor of International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also vice president of the International Assessment and Strategy Center (www.strategycenter.net) in Washington, D.C. He is a scholar of Chinese history, and received his university degrees from Harvard. He started his career as an Assistant Professor at Princeton in 1981; he was then appointed professor of Strategy and Policy at the U.S. Naval War College from 1991-1997, as well as adjunct Professor of East Asian Studies at Brown. He also currently serves as Associate in research at the Olin Institute for Strategic Studies at Harvard University and as Associate in research at the Fairbank Center for East Asian Research, Harvard University. Dr. Waldron is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and for seven years Director of Asian Studies at the American Enterprise Institute. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jamestown Foundation.
