"Diana is a Labour member of the House of Lords. She served as General Secretary of the Association of University Teachers from 1983 to 1992, Chief Executive of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy from 1992 to 1995, and from 1995 to 2009 as Chief Executive of Universities UK. She is Chair of the Human Tissue Authority, and a Non-Executive Director of the Pension Protection Fund.

"Diana is Life Vice President of VSO, Chair of Trustees of International Students House and the Modern Records Centre at Warwick University, and a member of Council of University College, London (UCL). On 10 July 1999 she was created a life peer as Baroness Warwick of Undercliffe, in the County of West Yorkshire."[2]
