Dr Benjamin Reilly is the Director of the Australian Centre for Democratic Institutions (as of 2006).

"In the past he has worked for the United Nations Development Program in New York, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) in Stockholm, and the Australian government in Canberra.

"Dr Reilly’s work has been supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the United States Institute of Peace, the U.S. National Research Council and the Australian Research Council. He has been a visiting fellow at the East-West Center in Hawaii, the Program on Internal Conflict, Conflict Prevention and Conflict Resolution in the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and the Macmillan Brown Centre for Pacific Studies in New Zealand."
