"Robert M. Wood received a BS is aeronautical engineering from the University of Colorado and a PhD in physics from Cornell University. His career included three summers at General Electric’s Aeronautics and Ordnance Laboratory, and two years of military service working at the Ballistics Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Grounds for the Army, followed by 43 years working for one company, Douglas Aircraft Company, absorbed in 1967 by McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing. His assignments included the heat protection system on the Nike Zeus missile; radar discrimination of re-entry vehicles with weapons from decoys for ballistic missile defense; management of the company’s independent research and development projects to acquire new business; application of advanced technology to help make the International Space Station better, cheaper and sooner; and proposal preparation for satellite launch vehicles. Since retirement in 1993, Dr. Bob has been a Board member of MUFON for 24 years, and has published electronically with his son Ryan on the internet many “leaked” documents on UFOs, and a book with Nick Redfern called “Alien Viruses: Crashed UFOs, MJ-12 and Biowarfare.” Recently he has edited and published an autobiography of Navy operative William Tompkins, “Selected by Extraterrestrials.” He maintains an interest in the authentication of questioned documents and is also working on the second book of the Tompkins autobiography."[1]
