In January 2003 the Hudson Institute established the Bradley Center for Philanthropy and Civic Renewal "to encourage foundations and donors to direct more resources to support 'small, local, often faith-based grassroots associations that are the heart of a vital civil society". The Center was created with a grant from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation with William A. Schambra, former director of programs at the Bradley Foundation appointed as the center's director."
