The Bumbun coal mine is a mine proposed to be developed by Maruwai Coal Project, a joint venture between BHP Billiton (75%) and Adaro Indonesia (25%) in Kalimantan in Indonesia.

In an April 2010 media release announcing the joint venture, BHP Billiton stated that the total resource of the deposit is estimated at 70 million tonnes of metallurgical and thermal to be extracted via an open cut mine.[1]
