Christopher Layne "is a Research Fellow with the Center on Peace and Liberty at The Independent Institute. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, LL.M. in international law from University of Virginia Law School, and J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center.

Gadbois, Jr.; Associate at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler; Partner at Blecher and Collins; and Associate at Danning, Gill Gould, Joseph and Diamond.
"A contributor to numerous scholarly volumes, Dr. Layne is the author of British Grand Strategy, 1933-1939 and The Peace of Illusions: International Relations Theory and American Grand Strategy After the Cold War.
