Coty Cortese "varied and interesting career includes working for organisations such as the Department of Defence, the Australian Trade Commission and Telstra in roles that have covered finance, research, exporting, marketing and contract management, including a short term assignment overseas.

"Coty has always been passionate about giving back to the community. She has been involved in the not-for profit sector for many years in a volunteer capacity having assisted organisations such as the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW, the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, the Royal Blind Society, Father Riley’s Youth Off The Streets, the Exodus Foundation and C.A.R.E Employment NSW, as a Management Committee member.

"Whilst working at Telstra, Coty was seconded from her senior marketing role in 2000 to assist in preparing the business case for the establishment of the Telstra Foundation. In early 2003, she was involved in assisting Dymocks Booksellers to establish their Childrens’ Literacy Foundation as Operations Manager.

"In July 2004, Coty joined the Mary Potter Trust Foundation as the first Executive Officer. The Foundation provides grants to community groups across Australia that actively work towards addressing the human rights and social justice needs of the disadvantaged." [1]
