Daniel E. Provost was Vice President of Public Relations at Liggett & Myers and Liggett Group from 1961 to 1984.

Biography

Daniel Provose has testified there was always a concerted effort on behalf of the tobacco industry to maintain a united front on cigarette smoking and health issues. He also testified the tobacco industry had a practice of attacking medical researchers and scientific articles unfavorable to the industry. He attended Tobacco Institute meetings in mid 1950's representing Liggett. Mr. Provost was Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Liggett Group.(PMI's Introduction to Privilege Log and Glossary of Names, Estate of Burl Butler v. PMI, et al, April 19, 1996) D. E. Provost, III was employed by Liggett Group, Inc. and served as Vice President from 1977 to 1982. He was employed by GrandMet, USA, Inc. and served as Vice President from 1983 to 1984.
