Background on Plant

Datang Baoding power station is a four-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 650 MW. The plant was completed between 2003 and 2008, and is owned by China Datang.[1]

Proposed expansion

China Datang has proposed expanding the power station by 2 x 350 MW units. One of the units was permitted for construction in December 2016.[2]
