David Hill

"As a founder of Rare, David has served the organization in a variety of roles including President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for 11 years, and now as an Honorary Trustee for life. While developing his aviation career, David conducted ornithological research in Curaçao and the Netherlands Antilles, and went on to found Rare in 1973 as a New York-based international wildlife conservation organization. Rare played a major role in the “Save the Whales” campaign in the early 1970’s, and then went on to become a respected force in the conservation field for pioneering environmental education in Third World countries. When not flying or saving whales, David is an avid bird enthusiast and conservation activist. " [1]
