David W. Hobbs, Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs, is President George W. Bush's Chief Lobbyist in the White House: "Hobbs carries the president's legislative agenda to the Hill -- as well as his political muscle." [1] [2]

Previously, Hobbs served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs (House). "From 1998 until 2001, he served as Chief of Staff to House Majority Leader Dick Armey. Previously, David was the Majority Leader's policy coordinator and senior floor assistant. From 1989 to 1995, he was Executive Director/President of the Institute for Policy Innovation, an economic think tank in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. David is a graduate of the University of Texas and received a Master's in public affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs." [3]
