Emma Crewe "is Executive Director of ChildHope, an international child rights organisation challenging violence against children and young people in Africa, Asia and South America. She began working in international development with Practical Action’s energy department in 1987. Since then she has lectured in social anthropology and development at the University of Sussex, advised various grant-makers and carried out research into the British parliament. She has written about the links between research and policy-making (with the Overseas Development Institute and the Centre for Research on Innovation and Science Policy in Hyderabad, India) and co-authored an ethnography of aid with E A Harrison."
