Expedia, Inc. is the largest online travel company, ahead of rivals Orbitz, Priceline, and Travelocity. Airline, hotel, and car reservations are made by customers online. Vacation packages and cruises are booked also. Expedia brands include Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Hotwire (a discount travel website), TripAdvisor (a travel search engine), eLong (a Chinese travel service), and Classic Vacations for luxury travel. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, U.S., Expedia has operations in Australia, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and China. Barry Diller, Executive Chairman, controls 58% of Expedia. [1] [2]

Ad boycott against Air America Radio

Political contributions

Expedia gave $24,000 to federal candidates in the 2006 election through its political action committee - 25% to Democrats and 75% to Republicans. [6]
