fpa (Family Planning Association) - formerly known as the National Birth Control Council (founded in 1930 by Helena Wright) - "is the UK's leading sexual health charity. Our purpose is to enable people in the UK to make informed choices about sex and to enjoy sexual health." [1] They are a member association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

"On the 2 January 2008 Julie Bentley became fpa’s new Chief Executive." Anne Weyman retired.
