The Fans First Coalition is a non-profit astroturf organization created in May 2011 and funded by LiveNation Entertainment (the parent company of online ticket seller Ticketmaster) to fight "unscrupulous scalpers and ticket hustlers," or people who buy tickets in bulk and then re-sell them. The group target tickets re-sellers, like Razorgate and StubHub, who sell tickets above face value. [1][2]Donations are through PayPal, and are not tax-deductible.[3]

A another group called the "Fan Freedom Project," which similarly claims to advocate for the interests of consumers, is financed primarily by Fans First's nemesis, ticket-seller StubHub, which is a division of eBay. [4]
